Warranty Tracker ("the app") is developed by Geo Paulson (Ghonestapps). This policy explains what data the app handles and, more importantly, what it does not.
The app stores the purchase and warranty information you enter yourself: product name, category, brand, model, purchase date, price, store name, warranty duration, serial number, notes, and any photo or invoice file you attach.
All of it is stored locally on your device, in a private app database. Warranty Tracker does not have a server, does not use the internet, and does not transmit any of your data anywhere. Uninstalling the app deletes this data permanently.
The Settings screen lets you export your data to a JSON file of your choosing, and import it back later. This file is written to a location you pick using Android's own file picker (for example Google Drive, if you choose to save it there). Warranty Tracker itself never uploads this file anywhere — what you do with the exported file afterward is entirely up to you.
Notifications: to remind you before a warranty expires.
Exact/inexact alarms: to schedule those reminders at the correct time.
Photo/file access (via the system picker only): to attach a product photo or invoice. The app never gets broader access to your photo library than the specific file you pick.
The app does not include advertising, analytics, or crash-reporting SDKs. No data is shared with any third party, because none is collected in the first place.
The app is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect information from anyone.
If this policy changes, the update will be reflected here with a new "Last updated" date and in the app's Play Store listing.
