Privacy Policy — Park & Find

Park & Find (package com.geo.parkfind) is an offline app that remembers where you
parked and guides you back. This policy explains exactly what the app does with your data.
What the app accesses
- Location (GPS) — used only while you are saving a parking spot or being guided back to one, so the compass and distance readout can work. Coordinates are written to a database on your device and never transmitted.
- Approximate street address — resolved from those coordinates by Android's own geocoding service, purely so the saved spot is readable ("Marine Drive, Kochi" instead of numbers).
- Notifications — asked for only at the moment you set a parking meter timer, so the app can alert you when that timer runs out.
- Motion sensors — the magnetometer and accelerometer drive the on-screen compass. Nothing from these sensors is stored.
What the app does not do
- It does not create an account or ask for your name, email or phone number.
- It does not upload, sync or back up your parking spots to any server.
- It does not contain advertising, tracking SDKs, or analytics of any kind.
- It does not track your location in the background — location is read only while the app is open.
- It does not sell or share personal data with third parties, because it never collects any.
About the internet permission
Park & Find declares the internet permission for one reason only: Android's geocoding service, which turns your coordinates into a street name, may need it on some devices. The app has no server of its own, sends no analytics, and never uploads your parking records. Every feature except the street-name lookup works with no connection at all.
Where your data lives
Saved spots, floor and pillar numbers, notes and meter timers are stored in a private database inside the app's own storage area on your device. Other apps cannot read it. Uninstalling Park & Find deletes all of it permanently.
Deleting your data
You can delete any single parking record from the History tab, clear the entire history with Clear All, or uninstall the app to remove everything at once. No copy is kept anywhere else.
Other apps you choose to open
Tapping Turn-by-Turn hands your parking coordinates to whichever map app you pick, and Share hands them to whichever app you pick from the share sheet. Those apps have their own privacy policies, and Park & Find has no control over what they do with the coordinates once you send them.
Children
Park & Find is not directed at children and collects no personal information from anyone.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new "last updated" date.
